British produce, cooked with conviction
Our menus are short on purpose. We would rather cook twelve dishes well than forty adequately — day-boat fish from the south coast, beef aged on the bone, and vegetables that follow the English seasons rather than a supply chain. The City has eaten this way for centuries: chop houses, oyster bars, market kitchens. We are proud to cook in that tradition.
Menus change with the market. What follows is a flavour of the kitchen rather than a fixed list — our team will always tell you what is eating best on the day.
From first light to last orders
Breakfast
Full cooked breakfast, kippers and kedgeree, porridge with whisky and honey, fresh pastries, and coffee that arrives quickly for those with an eight o'clock at the Bank.
Lunch
A short working-lunch menu designed to respect a one o'clock meeting — grills, salads, and a daily chop — alongside a quieter dining room for lunches that are meant to run long.
Dinner
The full à la carte by candlelight: oysters, aged beef from the grill, day-boat fish, and a proper cheese board. Reservations recommended from Tuesday to Thursday.
A short list, taken seriously
The bar at The Gracechurch keeps a deliberately concise cellar: a dozen wines by the glass chosen to flatter the kitchen, London-distilled gins, a considered shelf of single malts, and a martini stirred — never rushed. It is the sort of bar the City used to have on every corner, and increasingly does not.
Residents and walk-ins are equally welcome; the last pour is at 11 pm Sunday to Thursday and midnight on Friday and Saturday.

A panelled private dining room seating up to fourteen, with its own entrance lobby and dedicated service. Set menus built around the season, wine pairings from the bar's cellar, and the discretion the Square Mile expects. Popular for board dinners, completions, and the occasional birthday that deserves better than a restaurant banquette.
